Allyl bromide serves multiple purposes in various fields:

The potency of allyl bromide's mutagenicity is generally ranked lower than that of allyl iodide but higher than allyl chloride. In vivo studies have confirmed its ability to form DNA adducts, which are indicative of its potential cancer-initiating capabilities.
