Lithium Stearate

Lithium stearate has numerous applications across various industries:

While lithium stearate does not participate directly in specific biochemical pathways due to its classification as a soap, it has been noted for its interaction with biological systems. Lithium ions can compete with other cations such as sodium and magnesium for binding sites on macromolecules. This competition can affect neurotransmission by reducing presynaptic dopamine activity and inhibiting excitatory neurotransmission through G protein inactivation.
