N-Nitrosodiisobutylamine exhibits significant biological activity, particularly as a carcinogen. Studies have shown that nitrosamines can induce DNA damage through metabolic activation, converting them into alkylating agents that modify genetic material. Although direct carcinogenicity is not established without metabolic conversion, the association between nitrosamines and cancer has been widely documented in various animal studies.
